Me/Rt build for fun :D
I have changed my Me/Mo into a Me/Rt recently and am having trouble finding some nice builds for such a profession combo.
This is something I've managed to come up with so far, but it's lacking the 'oomph' I had in the many possible Me/Mo builds.
Are there any Me/Rt out there that can lend me some tips on making builds with this combo?
Here's the only build I could think of for fun, but there has to be something else a Me/Rt can use.
Illusion 12+3+1
Restoration 12
Fast Casting 4+1
Illusion of Pain in preparation
Shadowsong* - 15e (lvl1 shadowsong for 1 second duration blindness on each hit)
Illusion of Haste - 10e (to reach potential foe)
Fragility* - 10e (cast once shadowsong has picked the weakest target)
Illusionary Weaponry - 15e (yippee, my favourite elite)
Resilient Weapon** - 10e (with IOH's cripple now in effect it's +5 regen and +24 armour)
Weilder's Boon and Distortion as needed - 5e (I have no idea if these will keep my butt safe later on)
* Frag pressure plus frequent blindness application to increase survival in IW melee range.
** Functions as cover enchantment.
Hadrian has daggers of enchanting with +5 energy.

Is resilient weapon an enchantment? I always thought it was a weapon spell. The 1 second blindness plus fragility sounds fun. Also, does weapon spell damage or offensive effects stack with IW (just a random question)?

Resilient is a weapon spell. So no cover for IW in this build.
Shadow song + frag is fun ^^.

How you know Shadow Song is going to hit the foe with the frag? They're not smart you know...

ohhh you're using IoH to induce cripple on yourself, i see...
I was thinking Signet of Midnight + Resilient weapon. I need to think.

Yes i was going to suggest swapping out IW with SoM
Even with the resilient weapon + weilders boon, if you go in melee with mesmer armour, the AI will probably target and overwhelm you. SoM is a nice bonus for resilient seeing how it adds blindness to you (And we all know blindness is a mesmers worst enemy o.O)
This build definately looks promising and I like the idea of shadowsong + fragility. Gotta try this out sometime.
Another idea off the top of my head could be psychic instability + earthbind for nice 3 second knockdowns every interrupt...

I don't think Shadowsong + Fragility combo would work. The blindness would have to end before Shadowsong strikes again or it will only trigger Fragility once.

That build was just for fun. It doesn't work well at all!
Right now if I plan on using a spirit, I bring Phantom Pain and some other degen. I find that once deep wound kicks in and the degen is still going, the spirit will turn it's attention to that target even if they are AL100 and an AL60 target is standing closer to the spirit!
Anyhoo, the build overall is hopeless, but there were some things in it I'm trying to play with seperately. A lvl 1 shadowsong dies so fast, but if you can keep it alive and have it target whoever has fragility on, it's a painful sight to watch.

Well considering he would have a lvl 1 shadowsong it only blinds for 1 second every hit. I also believe spirits have an attack speed of around 1.75 so yes Fragility would and does work excellently with Shadowsong.

I had a very intersting fight vs a team that had a Me/Rt with them, this guy didn't summon any spirit and he keept his team up for a very long time, that battle lasted for 3min and that battle was our 6th flawless win.
This Me/Rt keep healing and ressing the dead players, Not sure which build he got but he was good, there were two warriors hitting him hard and yet he keept healing him self and his party.
We manage to win that battle after all but it keept me wonder what built did he got!!?
Does anyone knows pls?

Only a complete idiot would allow the lvl 1 spirit to live, or stand near it long enough to die from Frag.

My guess is it was this build, but Mes primary instead, known as the Resilient Disrupter http://forums.gwonline.net/archive/i.../t-402533.html with some e-management thrown in...
